Fauj Reporter carried out a survey to find who are top five best Indian army chiefs since independence. Survey was conducted using a best polling software ‘Democracy’ which prevents duplicate voting by reading digital signatures of the devices and IP address.
The method of poll was simple. Names of all army chiefs since independence were listed and each online voter was given five choices to vote. The poll gathered good response.
The names of five top army chiefs are given in order of their choices:

Please note that General Ved Prakash Malik PVSM, AVSM, ADC is top most choice among army chiefs in last 30 years. He is 6th choice and also most popular among living Generals (God bless).
Current Army Chief General Bipin Rawat PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC stood at 14th Position.
General Dalbir Singh PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC stood at 10th position & General Vijay Kumar Singh PVSM, AVSM, YSM, ADC stood at 11th position.
